The Million Dollar Round Table is the premier association of financial professionals. MDRT is an international, independent association of 35,000 of the world's best life insurance and financial services professionals from 79 nations and territories. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services business. Founded in 1927, the organization provides its members with resources to improve their technical knowledge, and sales and client service, while maintaining a culture of high ethical standards.

The MDRT Foundation, founded in 1959 and based in Park Ridge Illinois, is the philanthropic arm of MDRT. The Foundation was founded to encourage member volunteerism and to give funds to worthy, charitable organizations in its members’ hearts and communities throughout the world. On July 21, 1995, the MDRT Foundation announced the formation of the MDRT Foundation in Canada. A start-up grant of $25,000 US was provided to establish this separate Canadian Foundation to fund worthy charities within Canadian borders.

The Million Dollar Round Table Charitable Foundation Canada makes grants to selected charitable organizations and institutions that play an important role in strengthening our society and improve the quality of life. The funded activities of these organizations are a major reflection of the important role played by MDRT Canada members, their profession and the life insurance industry in the lives of people across Canada.
